Your Blog Posts

I admit I am getting used to the platform but if you write in other places usually the platforms are very similar. A couple of things you should think about.
1. Who is your target audience? Is it the consumer? Are you writing for the community or are you venting and letting off steam. Remember whatever you put on line is online forever...if you are not generating business from your blog you might want to look at the words you are writing and what you are posting..if you blog consistently the business will come but your blog requires readers and outside of the network!
2. Choose your words carefully...attacks...libel and defamation of character seem to be the lawsuits for bloggers today. I can tell you its happened and is happening..and a law suit emerged a real estate agent in Miami, Florida and a builder......read the article here.
3. Don't oversell yourself..people want to get to know you a bit better before doing business with you...that means its OK..to show your human side...I can assure you people are googling your name prior to picking up the phone. Type your name into google and what will they see. Remember online what you put out is what you shall receive! Lets just see what google says about me? click here
4. Don't be afraid to write...just write..and if you feel uncomfortable the forum is a perfect place to start! Ask a question or respond to a comment. It gets easier as time goes on. Remember its not just about the services you provide.. or the your current rates. You want to draw readers to read who will think of you first for you great services. Remember word of mouth the very best marketing you could invest in!
While we all have equal rights..we must abide by certain laws, as a REALTOR I must abide by The Code of Ethics, The National Association of REALTORS and the Florida Assocation of REALTORS and the Daytona Beach Area Assocation of REALTORS Rules!
Get the message...be mindful in what you write. The safest way to blog..."Whatever I write, would I say it to a customer, a friend or children face to face. Am I being ethical and am I abiding by the law?" One thing I learned about being behind the keyboard... sometimes hiding behind the keyboard gives little people big guts!
